Statement of intent

The name of my artist is Pstyles this dark ominous image I am aiming to portray helps to make my music video is going to be a concept video there will be a single character but editing will be my main focus to demonstrate the message that I am aiming to portray that is the freeness of the night. I will use lighting throughout which will fit into the dance genre music videos as they focus on cinematic visuals along with fast transitions of scenes to distort the camera flow. The type of audience that I am marketing my video at, is the is the ages 16+ ABC1. The way that one is going to accomplish this by making my video appealing to today's younger generation for example I will be including spotlight focus scenes this will make it original and diverse attracting a whole variety of people as them isn't one specific genre of people who will gravitate to this music genre. I am going to be doing simple shots but what is going on around her is the main focus being bright lights graffiti backgrounds with the hustle of life of including cars and traffic people clubbing, drink and rowdiness all to convey night life. Filming locations which I am hoping to film at are very ‘alive’ and social places so settings like a amusements, tower bridge Camden market, all local and well known places consequently making my video relatable in many aspects. The intertextuality I’m including is the scene from mean girls of her sitting on her bed, this will all interlock with the whole dance visage that I am aiming to get across these older scenes are a subtle hint to adults that may be watching so this extends the demographic by attracting a wider audience. Comparing this to ‘normal’ day life so how simple things like the street can change in just a few hours’ young girl in a big world. She's starting to make her own decisions the transition from young adult to adult. My single is aimed at universal recorded company it has artists like Avicii who is a key figure in the dancing industry and his music attracts a demographic in which I am also aiming for. My music video is similarly going to be following the classic ‘dance/house’ music videos in the way of performance I will only have one main person performing but several group scenes but to make my music video classify under the dance category I will have short quick shots to keep with the upbeat tempo. Editing that I am going to do the main focus is going to be after effects and trippy shots. I will have worm eye views, long and short shots to keep my video interesting and not monotonous. My website will have simple easy to follow headings with pictures from places that I have filmed at so the audience is aware and can be kept updated on specific things that I am up to. I have set up social media accounts for people to subscribe to and see any updates that have been posted and also to share their own thoughts and socialise with other people. Also I will included tour dates and a merch shop. My website will be very bright and colourful I will achieve this by using an array of lights. Virtual videos will be also attached to my website
